I am an advanced Neuro Lyme patient. I have lost both hips so far and they were replaced with steel and titanium hips. After all the failed treatments I have been put on LDN. I am on 4mg and had a huge response to it. I am herx is  worse than I ever knew possible. The herx pain is almost all in the region of the new hips. The pain is between 2 to 4 am when I awake in pain from the top of the new hips to my lower thigh where the rods were put. I have been graduating in pain level to an all time high. I can't lay on front, back or side and since you are not aloud to take pain meds, how do I control the pain. I have been taking 240,000 of serapeptase, which has always taken care of any pain but not this. I am taking 2 curcumin BID but not even close to covering the pain. I am taking asap of chlorella to bind . Any suggestions????

'not allowed to take pain meds' --?  If you are allergic to paid meds or something, think about other approaches like Epsom salt baths -- they have a lot of magnesium which may also be soothing as mojogal notes.  

And I would tell the doc how bad it is and see if the meds or doses can be adjusted to not be so rough on your body.  Hope you feel better soon -- keep us posted.

I lost one hip from Lyme. 2 is very difficult. You could try magnesium although it didn't work for my pain, it does work for some.

I had to give in and take Ultram since nothing natural really helped. Mine was done 8 years ago. The surgery does stir things up but it does get better. Good luck!
