Life how is everyone

Hello family,

Today is my 7th voice with no voice. During my time with no voice I am learning to listen more. So, I have heard Gods crying for me to get my husband and myself back to him. I also have heard just how hard some of my co-workers have it right now. God told me to get one of them to him as well. So, what I first thought was a nightmare, became a blessing. Although, don't get me wrong am grateful my voice is coming back.

The IRS has sent me 3 emails telling me I qualified for 3 different positions now I am just praying one ask me in for an interview soon. A job there will help me get insurance, and get out of this debt hole I am in. So I guess you could say life is staring to look up.

My only worry is the doctor has me on steroids to help get my voice back. If I have lymes like I believe I am scared my sxs are gonna come back with a vengeance. But I am taking them figuring since the doctors think they know so much, if anything happens maybe they will realize that lymes could be a reality. So, I guess God is still playing a hand in this too. For I know the answers I seek he will give soon.

Now to my friends here!!! How are ya? Any new news? What's life been like? I pray all that are feeling ill feel better before Christmas. I pray those coping with stress have it lifted from them. I pray life gets easier for all, and feels like a blessing from above everyday. Well, don't forget to let me know if ya need prayer I got ya. Let us know your good news to. Good news is always fun to hear. May God bless you all,

Kimberly

Hello Everyone,

Well, I have decided to leave it in the lords hands. They have me on an antibotic cefidinir. Then I went back becuase of my voice and they have me a steroid that I am suppose to take for 6 days. I am on mid point of day three and the worst thing I have going on is an itch all over and feel like my mouth has foam in it. Either way God is in control, if something bad happens due to steroids well then something good will have to come of it. I am just gonna pray and believe that God knows what he is doing.

Thanks for the concerns but I really wanted my voice back. It took me a day or two but I have decided having to stress and worry makes everything worse letting God be in control takes a bit of Faith and prayer. If I see any reason to be concerned back to the doctor I will go.

Well, Rico you are always in my prayers. I am grateful you are finally getting the help you deserve. I believe that you are healed and treatment will take a quick effect. If you need any more prayer let me know.

Thanks also jacksonmom, the help that you have been willing to give I am grateful for. May god bless you!

May god bless you all,
Kimberly

Whoa, I completely missed the original reference to steroids/prednisone.  I agree with Rico, and I personally would not take steroids in the face of a bacterial infection.  I am not medically trained, so this is my personal opinion based on what I've read.

A doc who believes you have MS would naturally treat with steroids, to suppress your immune system, because MS is thought to be your immune system attacking your own body.

In addition, docs who do not 'believe' in Lyme as a persistent and difficult infection to treat also sometimes believe that, after a short treatment, if Lyme symptoms are present, that the infection is gone, and remaining symptoms are simply the immune system's over-reaction to the now-gone bacterial (Lyme) infection.

Lyme specialists hold counter to that, and say that continued symptoms of Lyme mean that the Lyme infection is still present, because Lyme has the ability to hide in the body where antibiotics may not reach the bacteria, and then come out later are resume their misery-making.

Suppressing the body's natural reaction to a bacterial infection, by taking steroids, would then produce the effect that Rico experienced:  the castle wall is down, the defenders [immune system] are gone, and the bad guys [Lyme bacteria] take the place over.

I personally would NOT take prednisone in the face of a known bacterial infection and urge you to check with a Lyme specialist for a second opinion.

I am so glad you're feeling hopeful.  I truly hope you do get one of these jobs soon, and that you get full benefits!

I did get uncomfortable when you mentioned steroids.  I completely lost my voice for a few days with Lyme.  It came back when I started abx. (I didn't know what I had other than laryngitis, fever, chills, and malaise, and only took a weeks's worth of meds, not enough to kill all of it.).

Last year, I only had one shot of prednisone followed by four days of oral prednisone.  That was enough to send me into a steady and increasing decline over the next 3-4 months.  My climb back out of the Lyme rabbit hole has taken far longer than my descent into it.  If you think you have Lyme, I would really encourage you not to take the steroids.  It makes it more likely you'll test false negative, too, as it interferes with antibody production.

You might consider an herbal and detoxing protocol to give you as much improvement right now as possible until you can get health coverage.

As far as my own story, I am finally stabilizing on Malarone for my recently diagnosed Babesia.  I had terrible herxing (air hunger, fatigue, brain fog) in the beginning and am only now, a month into it, starting to think I could get up to the full dose prescribed.  My Lyme symptoms really aren't bad at all.  I think my sluggishness and fatigue are from a combination of Lyme, Babesia, and the medications themselves.  I am really hoping to perk up soon as the Babs gets knocked down.

I continue to be deeply grateful that I am getting treatment from professionals who are experienced in this. I continue to marvel at how complex tick borne diseases can be to treat, given all the extra problems that come along with them.  This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Well Kimberly,

For me it is just starting to look up. Well probably looking down and then up....but definitely forward.  I just flew back from two states away after my latest visit to see my LLMD and I am heading into treatment. As he says " if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and swims like a duck it is probably because it is a duck"........"just your history alone says what you have and if you were in the US you would have already started treatment by now, so lets start".

A bunch more blood tests, a SPECT scan, field and colour vision test...all bulk billed including the doctors visits.......I am so blessed.

Moving forward.....2013 will be a fantastic year.....many storms but we will rise above them and be safe.

Interestingly I have to get a job too. So, starting treatment, looking for getting and keeping employment I would value any prayers thanks.  Bless you!
