thank you. I actually feel very confident in my current dr. I have only been dealing with this for a few weeks now and with everything I have been reading she is right on target with Lyme Diet, what I should NOT be eating/drinking etc. What I need to ADD to my diet. And if you can believe it she is my gynecologist, who has been working with lyme disease and treatments for years. I am very lucky to not have to go through what others on the forum have had to do, traveling and waiting-just horrible for them. Timing is so important, there should be a level of urgency for Lyme patients, as well as "suspected" Lyme patients. I have been going in for Methyl B12 shots for some of my discomfort and facial numbness issues. I may end up going in for a HERX shot later today-over the past week I have had times of feeling rather cranky, "out of my skin", and find myself crying over nothing-during my episode my husband and I just have to laugh(sadly) because I am crying(weeping) over nothing-it just hits me, and here come the waterworks.....
Are you seeing a good lyme doc? If not, perhaps you should consider finding a doctor who is part of ILADS. There is a Seeking a Doctor section on lymenet.org. They also have a large community where you can share your story...under Medical Questions.
best to you, and read all you can about Lyme Disease.
