Lyme attacking right side muscle restriction

by lesnbek, Oct 13, 2009 06:33AM
Hi, 2 days ago i ended up in the hospital because of my muscles. It started in my neck and now is from my fingertips to my knee on my right side. Imagine pulling a rubberband to the point right before it breaks. It is so bad I have to hold my head to my shoulder and hold my knee to my chest. I went to er and they took my urine and gave me a shot. Whatever they gave me took the pain away and i was able to move my neck around and put my leg down. The Dr came in and said she saw no infection and had no clue why i was in so much pain. Oh i took in my labs for lyme also- I came home and slept till the next night. I was unable to sleep at all last night because the pain is so great and couldnt pick up my pain meds cause insurance denied covering and was closed due to holiday. If this gets much worse i wont be able to walk. I have tried muscle relaxers, volatran gel, aleve. My mom has a spa which might help but Im in Pa and it is freezing here and hot tub is outside which will most likely make me sick-went off my antibiotics for 2 days prior to this because i was throwing green stuff then next day stuff that smelled like alcohol at recomendation of my nurse that is involved with surgery i am to have this month. My rheumatologist said i should have never went off antibiotics. I dont know what to do- i have company coming tomm from Canada and kinda look silly with my head laying on my shoulder and leg propped up not to mention my house is a mess. God forbid a woman to be sick and be in bed all day- Looks like a tornado went through here. Oh and since starting these antibiotics i have never been more sick in my life. Whatever muscle this is i can feel in my neck down to my butt- IS THIS THE LYME ATTACKING ME

I guess it could be that your 'trapezium' muscle is staying contracted which is pulling other muscles or putting them all out of sync.  - this is just my thoughts having had a lot of pain/tension in my traps. muscles - the worst was a few weeks after the tick-bite - so on that basis - yes it prob. is due to lyme.

I am sure your guests will understand once you explain why you haven't been able to clean-up - try not to stress about that.

Have you tried a bath with some 'epsom salts' and perhaps 5 or six drops of 'lavender oil' - this may help a little - it helps me.

...forgot to mention - it might be a good idea to take magnesium supplement - lymies can be very low in magnesuim - it helps with muscle relaxation - maybe ask docs. advice

Sorry havent been on in a while pain is taking over-my water is messed up goes off in middle of shower. So my boyfriend ran some hot water and water went off he did this several times to draw me a hot bat. I have a jacuzzi tub but cant use cause much with water problem. Omg Hot baths work better than meds, tens unit, etc. Everything popped-sounded as if my neck broke but i got instant relief. I will have to check on Magnesium if it interacts with all my other meds but thanks for advice
