I had ringing in my ears continuously for over a year. I have also had the whooshing sounds. The neuro told me that the brain and ear are not connected so it is coming from the ear????....
I have never been told it was from the brain swelling that i remember but i am guessing it is. I only have swelling on that side and only have whooshing on that side. I belive i have some infection under my skin, maybe dura matter? I am not sure. I will ask the nuro doc Tues. My fevers seem to start out on my left side also.
not that this helps you but for the past two weeks approx. i have had a constant whooshing in my right ear.. along with random spikes of pain. if i push up on the area around my ear it slightly eases... i have NO CLUE as to why this started or what to do about it... if u find out anything, please let me know? Thank you and Best Wishes
One thing i believe it is would be the lateral ventrical in my brain is swelled. I had another test called the Cisternogram? with nuclear dye. it came back ok they say. But I am sicker than ever and near suicide.
hey, i just went to the Dr today for my ear... She said that she is pretty sure i have Meniere's Disease, but she want's to try me on a nasal mist first to see if it helps. She also said that i'm not allowed to look it up anyplace else than web md but you should check it out n see if it fits what u have. u should maybe think about getting an MRI too.. Feel Better hun, and Good Luck!
I almost always have the ringing in my ears. I have a CFS / M.E. diagnosis.
