Rmsf alternative / natural cures

Please I know some of you have some helpful advice. I can't find any doctors to treat me and I know I need to see an llmd but I'm out of work and trying desperately to save money to get to one ad it's gonna take a while since I'm bit working. I haven't been able to get out of bed in two weeks. I took one month doxy and it didn't help

I use organic coconut oil when I cook---- mostly when I cook Indian food but sometimes for other ethnic recipes.

It's also good for the hair, for people who need moisturizing care.

It smells good too.

Here is one site that touts coconut oil:

"Proof of coconut oil’s protective qualities continues to emerge. Researchers have discovered its powerful antiviral action against a host of offenders including measles, herpes, influenza, Hepatitis C, and even HIV. Other studies have pointed to its antibiotic properties.

And coconut oil treatment has even been recognized for inhibiting cancerous cell growth — with studies of prostate cancer showing especially promising results."

When a site states there is 'proof' but neglects to give us that 'proof' my BS-ometer goes into high gear. And curing cancer???? Another red flag that they aren't reliable, to say the least.

One site did go into more explanation about coconut oil used as a cure or fix for anything:

Furthermore, two doctors that were dx'd with Alzheimer's did not take coconut oil.

Scott at betterhealthguy.com has alot of great info. I use Melia and Golden Thread Supreme for most "bugs" as they are both very broad spectrum. I know Ann Corson MD uses alot of them too and some Vital Guard Supreme. I also occasionally treat myself with a Rife machine

Oh no I hate to hear she was in a car wreck. To be honest I think I probably forgot my password because I have really bad "Lyme" brain constantly -I sent a password request 4-5 times and said I would get it emails within 10 mins but I never did. No biggie, I'll just use this account :)

Hi -- sorry your account has you locked out ... wonder why!?

I had a message from mojogal a bit ago and she's taking a few days off to rest, still getting over the car accident she was in.  She's all right, just needs a little down time.

You could contact the moderators and see what's up with your account.  If you can't get through to them due to being blocked, post back here and I'll send them a PM for you.

Mojo- this is the original poster - for some reason, my account has locked me out ! Anyways any info you  could send me would be so much appreciated ! - Jackie I have contacts ilads many times, thank you though !... I hve been bites by ticks extremely frequently, as I live in the woods and something as simple as walking in the front yard for a couple mins causes me to have to pull  2-3 off my legs, so there is no telling when I got it. I've also had an unexplained rash ( many doctors can't figure out) for over a year so if that's related to rmsf, ... which i likely...It means I've had it a very good while

From what I read, doxycycline may not be effective if a significant period of time has passed since you were bitten, because the Lyme bacteria have the ability to hide in the body where doxy cannot reach.  Only a knowledgeable MD can say what treatment is needed.

If you need help finding a Lyme specialist, email to

     contact [at] ILADS [dot] org

and tell them where you are located (which city and state, and near what large city), and they will email you with the names of Lyme specialists nearby.  ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) is the main voluntary group for MDs who really understand Lyme and know how to treat it effectively.

Best wishes, and let us know how you do, okay? --

So sorry for your situation. You need a much longer time of being on doxy

Even my ex husband whose job was a golf course superintendent and was bit often by ticks, took a month's worth of Doxy which worked on him as long as it is immediately after the tick bite.

If you have insurance, you could try a Integrative Medicine Doctor. They may work on payment plans.

If you are interested, you can PM me and I can send you a link as to how to self help with  Lyme with herbs/supplements which may help for now.

Best wishes
