Funny you bring that up. Part of the article was about Bart Yasso, Runner's World chief running officer. He contracted Lyme nearly 25 years ago.
That tells me someone at Runners World may have had an unfortunate encounter with ... a tick! If only more individuals in the medical profession would encounter such first hand information too .... the views of the medical world might advance more quickly re Lyme. Sigh!
Your welcome. I was a little shocked to see the article. So I also went to their website and searched Lyme disease. I had no idea they had as many stories as they do.
Here's the link to Runners World Lyme stories:

I also see that Runner's World has quite a number of previous articles about Lyme disease, too, so that runners are advised of what to look for. That is excellent, that the magazine is looking out for runners, readers, and also the rest of us who just meander.
I hadn't known of this resource before. Thanks again!
Good! Thank you for posting this -- it is always good to know when such thoughtful information is published, and to let visitors here know about the article.
The more information that is in publications that are not 'just' medical journals, the better, because that helps us and others know what to look for.
It told the story of a runner and her battle with Lyme. It also told of the debate on Lyme Disease in the medical community. It was an interesting read, only a couple of pages long.
I'll try to read it tomorrow Jackie.
Sounds interesting -- when you've read it, would you give a short summary of its point here? Would be appreciated! Thanks --
