Types of Ticks

Has anyone ever contacted Lymes from a dog tick?
The tick I found on my scalp was a dog tick.  At the time I found Miss Tick, she had been there awhile and encased herself on my scalp, but the doctor treated me for sinus infection til the tick was found.  I also  had,swollen glands and blinding headaches.  A course of doxy and then finished off 2 weeks of abx for sinus.  Better for awhile.  But...Three months after bite, intense cramps in stomach, sternum, chest.  At four months, intense anxiety and agitation, with depression.  Since then, arthritis worsened, tho I had it before tick bite.  Treatment for anxiety and depression is working.  Still some trembling in one hand, weakness, impatience, lack of motivation, etc.
Can get a test kit, but not sure I can get my doctor to sign it ... all my drs. think it should've been prevented or healed with initial abx.

I believe lyme can be transmitted by any type of tick but most commonly the deer tick.  The Lone Star tick is another.  Your symptoms do sound like lyme disease.  The test kit would be a good idea.  It is also possible that you were bitten before.  Ticks are hard to see and easy to miss.  I pulled three attached ticks off of my scalp this past summer.  These were just the ones I saw.  Who knows how many I have had on me over the past 20 years.

Unfortunately, the belief that the intitial treatment is a cure is common in mainstream medicine.  Many people have to seek treatment by a physician who specializes in this disease.  I had to travel out of state myself.
