What do you think of the radiofrekvention therapy?
Hello,
I am new here. My boyfriend has just been dyagnosed with lyme diseas (neuroborelioza) and I am not sure should we go into the direction of treatment mostly with antibiotics or is it true that radiofrekvention therapy (including 14 days of Rocephin is a better option?
Both of the therapies are not so cheap (it seems if you want to be led by expert and not by just any neurologist who doesn't know much about borelioza) so it is important for us to decide the right path...

Anyway, my boyfriend decided to take the antibiotick treatment so hopefully that will work for him too :)

The term 'radiofrekvention' sounds like it may use radio-frequency electronics to run a mild electrical current through the body, to kill the bacteria--? I have read a little about those approaches, including those using a Rife machine, but do not know how effective they are. The usual approach in the US is long-term antibiotic medicine, although some here do not think long-term is necessary. I and others have been treated for at least several months with certain antibiotics, and it can be quite effective.
Perhaps others here will have more information and advice for you.
