antihistamine

I personally don't take antihistamine but just some advice I read that - antihistamine suppresses the immune system - never thought about it before - they work like steroids - some very good advice on another forum was - do not take antihistamine if you have lyme

I am sure some of you already knew this but just thought I would mention it

I have seen LLMD's recommend antihistamines for Herx. reactions.  I would ask your doctor or pharmacist about this so that you get correct information.  Information obtained on forums is not always accurate as few of us are doctors or pharmacists.  Only your doctor can tell you whether to take medications or not.

I agree with Patsy about asking doctor - just wanted to pass this info. on - antihistamine supressess the allergic reaction - so though I read it on another forum - it still makes sense to me to try to avoid taking it - anyway asking the doc. about any 'drugs' is always a good idea.

My LLMD mentioned that the nasal steroid spray was OK to take for 1-2 months if necessary for allergies, as in my case. Another data point.
