bell's palsy

My 15 year old son was diagnosed with Lyme disease about 4 years ago.  We were living in Germany ath the time, and had an excellent pediatrician.  My son was hospitalized for one week to recieve antibiotic treatment.  The treatment then continued for 6 more weeks.  Six months later, he was tested again, and the doctor said that he should be fine and have no more problems.  However, recently my son has had some facial palsy.  Could this be related to the Lyme disease?  We are now living in Belgium, and I'm having trouble getting answers.

I would guess the first infection was never completely gone.  It probably went dormant and came out again.

Goggle Lyme and begin to read and educate yourself on this horrible disease......your son is still young and with the right care can get well! You must unfortunately become your own advocate...too much political wrangling going on. There's a website that is dedicated to lyme; lots of info there as well. lymenetdotorg

Sounds like hes got lyme and hes got it bad. and honestly most likely if he has got it you have got it too, lyme is congenital. I would test through IGENX labs........not cdc's bogus testing..............
