bradycardia

I developed severe bardycardia (36 bpm), which is what eventually led to the discovery of the lymes. I was wondering if anyone has had the severe bradycardia and after treatment for lymes the bradycardia is completely gone? I am currently on week 5 of the antibiotics and my heart rate is now in the mid to upper 50's at rest, a great improvement. I have been here for a couple weeks and was wondering if it will continue to improve as i have 7 more weeks on the antibiotics.

Did you have another tick bite or did you have it come back. I have heard several people say you never get rid of it, it goes dormant and the symptoms can return at any time. I just was diagnosed last thursday so i am new to all this. Thanks for answering my questions.

Hi jay5133,
Both instances in which I got Lyme, the initial symptom I was experiencing was PVC's (Premature Ventricular Contractions).  I would actually feel my heart stop, skip a beat and gush several times in a row.  Normally, PVC's are not an issue unless you get 2 or 3 of them consecutively.  In any event, the fisrt time I had Lyme it took 2, 30 day Rx's of doxycycline to get my heart back to "normal".  I was just diagnosed with a new case of Lyme Disease so we will have to see how long it takes this time around!   BTW - the second time around was soooooo much worse that the first!!  I had never had such pain in my joints ever...!
Sounds like you were in stage 2 of Lyme.  Good thing you caught it in time.
