Morning,

Just wondering if you have noticed that you bruise easily since having lyme? I've noticed some little bruises here and there.

Even before I had lyme this was a problem. Just looking for comments, observations. JKV

I don't bruise easily, but when I do bruise, it's slow to heal.

I still have visible bruises on my legs from a car accident in Dec. '08!

I'm not sure if it's Lyme-related or not?

one cause of 'bruising easily' can be low vitamin C - also B12 & Folic Acid.

I would say that you should mention this to your doc. - perhaps have some routine blood level checks - ie; to check for 'aneamia' etc; -[ if you haven't had these checks recently of course.]

I had seven bruises pop up late last week; five on my legs and two on my arms. I don't recall banging into anything. I don't bruise all of the time, but I do get this occasional bruises that pop up. Lyme and the co-infections can mess with the blood, so bruising is a possibility or at least the bruising is a side effect of some deficiency in the body (as Gorby suggests).

I'm with Wonko on healing slow. I still have faint marks from holter monitor stickers from months ago. However, my bruises seem to be clearing up fine. Weird stuff.
