could it be lyme?

I had a tick bite this year in may. The doctor told me to pay attention to it only if I have fever after 2 weeks or a red circle around my bite. I did not have any of those. In the middle of July I started feeling not well : night sweats, chills, small fever and a white tongue, skin sensitivity. My doctor thought I had flu. My still symptoms don't go away - I have no fever, but ocassionally (2-3 times a day) I am feeling chills and my tongue is still white. Could it be Lyme? Should I get tested?

You are correct.  You can have it and still test negative.

Thank you. I will have my blood checked next week. I just hope it will show if it is there, as I have heard that sometimes blood test does not show this desease even if you have it. Thanks again. Will keep you posted.

I concur with jkv44.  I would go back and talk to the doctor.

Morning,
I would have the test for lyme done. Especially with not feeling well.. I started that way slight fever, chills. I also know that night sweats is a major symptom.

The lyme can lay dormant in your body for a few months before making itself known, That's what happened to me. I started with flu like symptoms and then it would go away and come back every 7-14 days.

Keep us posted. :)
