herx trigger?

I'm wondering if anyone has noticed that breaking routine can trigger herxing.  Let me give some background to my question.  I have recently switched from abx to herbal microbials.  I had to back off the dosage once early because the herxing was severe (pain), but I've been able to do the 1 drop increase per day for all 3 since then.  However, Thursday I had to go to the hospital in the morning for some tests and I took the medicines early, as usual, before I went.  It took longer than I thought and I didn't get any food until noon.  Mid-afternoon I began to feel sick:  every symptom I've ever had came back full force.  And some.  The high fever still hasn't broken although the headache and nausea have improved as has the pain.  The other interesting thing is that what was diagnosed as allergy induced asthma about 15 years ago also returned yesterday afternoon.  It makes me wonder if the 3 things that were diagnosed together at that time (asthma, chondromalasia patallae, and rosacea) were in fact lyme symptoms, but that's not my question today.

I am wondering if messing with my normal schedule (medicine, food, supplements) triggered this monumental herx?  Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Messing with your normal routine can affect you badly. It happened to me last Christmas. My kids came, my schedule was way off and I got very sick.

Thanks for that suggestion - the fever finally broke yesterday but obviously my brain isn't fully firing... never even crossed my poor little mind!

Good question!  Think about relaying your doc the things you wrote up above so the doc is in the loop.  Keep us posted, okay?  Hang on!
