Thank-you for answering my 'secondary rash' question. I never noticed a rash after my tick bite but I am now getting strange spots about 5-6 cms in diameter, very sore to touch and feel like a blister, hard to describe properly. They have a dark center almost black and then a circular inflamed area. Does this sound like a secondary rash? Do you know how long approx. after 'bite' these can appear? Thanks again. I am waiting for a blood test result for 'Lyme' but I do realise that this could come back negative, so I am considering any other symptoms that I get. Gorbybelle.
Several areas of the skin (not where the tick bite occurred) may develop a rash similar to erythema migrans . These 'secondary' rashes tend to be smaller than the original stage one rash. These tend to fade within 3-4 weeks.
