Hi have bin living in CANADA and for 10 years have problems i dit fly tu czech republik tu my mam finaly bin diadnosted  wit neuroboreliosis i had 1 month of IV and 2 month Doxy  that is the standart  nou LLMD in  CZECH coinf was neg  i am medikaiting my self  not in schape fly bac tu C anada I have lime aprox for 12 years I dont remember tick   I  try nau ketec +tinidazole i will ad laiter  I was a nurse i du check my livers and EKG any sugestion sory for my english I du speak well bat writing is problem is any hope  thak you jana

Your English is better than my Czech!  

1 month IV and 2 months doxy are good, but if you are still having symptoms, you should see your MD again. Sometimes it takes longer treatment to get well.

Also, were you tested for co-infections, meaning other diseases carried by the same ticks that gave you Lyme (neuroborreliosis)?  There are many different strains (kinds) of Lyme, and some are not found on the tests.  Doctors have to treat according to your symptoms AND tests.  It is not easy.

Thank you JACKIE bat noubady in czech will du long treatmet ATB  i had spinal tab and test positive   after IV is nou bether   co-infections I had  in AUGSBURK  GERMANY  inCzech is not posible  I tested negative for Babesia  Bartonela Erchelia  CD 57 was 55   chronic lime   Idit travel in USA /Ilove california  Palm Spring / travel in Europe  live in Canada I had nou idea wher I get  the tick  nau I cant fly home to Ontario  or US for healp  my boyfreind is seling home  tu aford treatment in Germany  heir noubady will treat my anymore  I am canadien bat nou healp from Canada so I dit start treatment my self  /Burrascano/   tu despert tu wait since my lime is positive 100% I pay for liver test and EKG  tu nou is ok I was a NURSE  I dit live in Canada for long time so NORT AMERIKA is more my home and I khant fly and get help in US I just nead  suport peaple ar diferent hear since i left long time ago  not so frendly like in nort amerika i miss that wery mutch  thak you Jana

I understand that getting Lyme treatment in Canada is not easy, but I may be wrong.  

Can you go to Germany for treatment?  

Have you tried herbal treatment?

YES in Germany BORRELIOSE CEN TRE  AUGSBURK bat wery expensive we have tu sell the haus  in CANADA  I have neuro symptoms + arthritis wery bat most of the time on the bed  my  mam is helping my  in canada I cant get treatment     I try teasel +gse nou efect I  ned agresive terapie  IV  pain is my live / for yea rs  from  DR  in CANADA   I was told I have FYBRO  nau I hardly  get of the hause after ATB was  geting worse    I hate ignorance of DR in CANADA i did se 25   thaks jana

Maybe the Augsberg Borreliose Centre could see you for only a little money?  I am sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time finding treatment.

Herxing is no fun, but it means the treatment is working.

Thank you for recommending Nystatin.  My doctors do not want to give it to me, but I am making progress without it (I think, I hope).

HI folks  i dit tested positive for bartonela henselae a quintana my LLMD put my on 1000 mg biaxin 200 plaqvenil and 600 mg rifampicin I will start next weak litle nerves had any of you this combo and ar the herx of bartonela hard just worry about neu medication  JANA

I have not had bartonella and so don't know what is usually prescribed, but I recognize the names of all those drugs as sometimes used by LLMDs.  

It's normal to be worried about side effects:  I was so scared I waited for several months to even start the meds.  That was not the right thing to do, but I was in such bad shape that I was afraid I would be worse ON the drugs.  Well, I wasn't.  The side effects of the drugs were not much, and being sick is worse than the side effects/Herx.

If the Herx is so bad you can't stand it, call your LLMD and tell him/her.  The dose should perhaps be lower or another drug used, but only your LLMD can decide that.

Be brave, but not too brave!  If something doesn't seem right, then call the LLMD.  Glad to hear you have a diagnosis -- that is the first step to getting well again.
