does anyone relate to this - when I am having a 'good energy' day - I feel like I am having to get things done at 'high speed'  ? - when really there is no need for this '100 mile an hour' - steam train attitude !!

I can relate to this.  Sometimes I feel that my body is so used to fighting the fatigue/exhaustion that when those symptoms let up, I feel unusually energetic/borderline manic.

Like if you are playing "tug of war" and the other team suddenly releases the rope, you go shooting back because you were still expecting the resistance.

Also, I think we feel so behind on life, it's hard not to want to make up for lost time.  Of course, it's easy to over-do it and then set yourself back, but who can blame us for trying?

Yes. I relate.  On good days I just keep going and going.  Then I pay for it the next day.

do you think this could be 'adrenalin' related - ie; when adrenalin is circulating it 'over-takes' pain sensation etc,

Ditto to above comments.

I don't feel like I HAVE adrenalin anymore, tho.  I just get frantically busy running around and sometimes sit back watching myself, thinking "What a loon."  So when the mania strikes, I try to dial it back, because I do pay for it the next day.

It is nice to know however that I CAN still operate in overdrive, which used to be my normal cruising speed.  Sigh!

I think it's just the joy of feeling normal and being able to do the things we want to do.  We just overdo it.
