Jw84,
I should also mention I have the same MTHFR diagnosis as you do - compound heterozygous (meaning positive one copy C677T and positive one copy A1298C). Hopefully we can compare stories and share more information on the topic.
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.
Sincerely,
Sandi (Dragon1973)

Hello JW84,
Wow, first let me say that is quite the lengthy list! With all that is going on, I congratulate you on your past pregnancies and births. While not a medical expert, I can tell you this - I have suffered with nearly all the same things as you from the cystic ruptures, which led them to determine the PCOS, the migraines (which to this day I am not sure if they are due to the MTHFR or from my Pituitary tumour) to the hormone problems and also the testing neg for Cushings syndrome. However, there is a ton of research studies that suggest that MTHFR (specifically C677T variant) is responsible for migraines and aura migraines. So it's hard to say but I wouldn't doubt it. I definitely get the spots and nausea, have had it all my life and don't think I had the pituitary tumour all my life. Interestingly though, I also take narcotic medications for a serious back injury I sustained from work, so perhaps it is a combination of things.
I am curious, knowing that you have the variant, and also the possibility for clotting problems such as thrombosis, do you take a low dose baby aspirin at all or Lovenox? I found it quite necessary to take these (or at the very least the high level Folic acid and baby aspirin) in order to conceive. Without them, I either had miscarriages or implantation failures (early pregnancy loss).
Feel free to message me directly at any time.
