Breastfeeding class

Who has taken the breastfeeding class?  Do you feel it was worth it?  I am debating taking it, there is only 2 left so I need to decide.  Thanks Ladies

I asked a few friends this recently and they both said YES, hands down, so I am going to take one in a few weeks  - they also talked about the Leche League  - noting that they can be sort of drill sargents - but a good resouce.

I just took that class last week. It really helped me because besides only seeing a few of my friends do it I really didn't know much about it. The nurse gave us some reading material and I took about 2 pages worth of notes...just so I didn't forget anything.

I think it was also beneficial because she will be one of the main nurses who comes around to help with any feeding issues. So now I already know her a bit and all the resources the hospital offers for breatfeeding moms.

If you can get your partner to go too...that was great. DH wasn't really excited about it but I am glad he went so he can get an idea of what I have to go thru and what he can do to help out.

I took one and I wished I could have recorded it! I think it is very beneficial. I learned a lot...and I might even hire a lactation specialist for a consultation after she is born because there is sooo much information. A lot of it is kinda common sense but then there is some stuff I had never ever heard of!

Definitely take it if you can!
