Dentist

Hey Ladoes,  just wondering when everyone is planning to make a dentist appt.?  I am going to ask the dc but we don't see her for a few days.  Curious as to what everyone else's dc say about it!

Enjoy the holiday weekend!

My parents are dentists are they recommend not bringing a child in until he or she is about 3. Before that you could bring her in to get comfortable with the experience, but a visit isn't necessary yet.

Jules... our pediatrician and dentist both said 3 years old as well.  And, like Whitney's parents, they too said bring them in with you so that they know that you will be okay and make it a fun experience so when it is their turn they aren't totally freaked out.

That's funny you asked this because I just had my teeth cleaned last month and asked the dentist thinking that they would want her to go in now.  I figured, she has teeth, why not start protecting them now, right?  But, she said they are waaaay too wigley and it would be traumatizing for them to do it any earlier.  Makes sense!

Our ped wanted us to go by the time Phin was a year...but he had no teeth yet! So we are going to wait until he is 2 and then bring him in. My dentist agreed with me.
