You don't want them to get sick with the H1N1 and they won't if they get the shot. I am confused by the rest of your statement. Have you heard that kids with the shot get sick? I haven't heard that. I just hear all the time that kids are dying from the H1N1. :( Usually the kids who end up dying have underlying medical conditions. I am getting my baby vaccinated as soon as it becomes available. Benefit outweighs the risk in my opinion.
I am with Ovaz. We have decided not to vaccinate MAdy. There isn't any studies about what happens long term with these shots. I am too worried it could have horriable effects. Although we are not getting seasonal flu shot either. I have never received one and feel that it weakens their immune systems. But that is my own personal opinion! Good luck with your decision.
We have decided against vaccinating her for H1N1 because...
1. No solid studies done on the effects of this vaccine on infants
2. She is in a low risk category
- she is at home with me all day and I have no other children
- she does not attend "kids gyms"
- she has no underlying health conditions
3. I think the government is making a rush to judgement decision about the vaccine
