I wondered the same thing then I was 2-3wks pregnant and tested at 18and the nurses told me they would like to see me in the 30's. I have been on prometrium and progesterone both ever since. haven't been to the doc yet since either. I go tomorrow to get levels tested again. When I asked that same question someone told me the lowest they want to see you at is 10...but she's not a doctor so please don't let that worry you.

low progesteone _lower than 5 can be a sign of an ectopic..  be careful and have your dr check your hcg numbers..  they should double but with an ectopic they will rise slowly...

it should be at 10. As long as it is over 10 it is good. When I first found out I was pregnant it was only 8.9 - but I took 200 mg of Prometrium and now it is over 10 - but it does fluctuate -- but as long as it stays over 10. I'd go back again within 2 days for a retest. GOOD LUCK.
