March 5th!

So I had my dr appt today...and I am being induced March 5th if she does not come on her own. I am terrified because my dr said that if the pitocin (sp?) doesn't work and I can't go into labor naturally then I have to have a c-section! AHH!

Has anyone HAD a c-section? Or anyone had one or known someone who had to have a c-section because inducing labor didn't work out???? I am just hoping that the inducing works...I really really don't want a c-section. :(

I am extra worried that I might have to have a c-section because I am not dialated AT ALL. And apparently she has not dropped...even though I could have SWORN she did...it looks like she did and the heartburn went away...but no such luck according to my dr. :(

I have not nor do I know anyone who is was induced and it didnt work...I think you will be fine though...normally when you are scheduled for induction just with my friend's experience that the baby normally comes on its own before the induction. Just because you have not dialated yet doesnt mean that you wont everyday is different..I wish you the best...

I was induced with my first and It worked out just fine..... I fortunately dont know anyone who was induced and it didnt work...I think the percentage of that happening is pretty low (altho its still hard not to worry).... So I am sure everything will be just fine and the induction will cause dilation with no problems..... Just think you will have your little one here very soon

Don't worry... you will be fine :)   I know quite a few people who were induced, and pitocin worked for every single one of them.  So, my guess is you won't need a c-section :)  At least, hopefully you won't!  Now you have an actual date to look forward to!  I wonder if my doctor will do the same and give us an induction date on Friday?  Hmmm...
