Had a great girls getaway weekend in NYC. While I totally missed DH and Hayden - it was soooo nice to get away! I showered as long as I wanted, had plenty of laughs and wine to boot! It was my first night away from hayden - she did great and so did DH. The house was spotless when I returned and he even did little projects all over. I need to getaway more often!

Hayden is great. She loves when I sing A, B, Cs and now repeats some of the letters after me! Mama is now "mommy" too. She started soccer last week and it is a riot to watch. She does not get all of the instructions (run backwards, sit on your spot) but she can kick the ball and loved when they busted out the parachute.

AFM, I did not "try" this month b/c I wanted a girl weekend with plenty of wine - so we will try next month and I made an appt to see my OBGYN for a consult on what to do next (clomid, progesterone, etc). Also after my first miscarriage and D&C - the DR told me there was some scarring which could prevent the egg from attaching. I still got pregnant with Hayden but maybe that is a prob? At any rate, I am ready to step it up and get some action going on baby #2. I will be 35 in a month - I don't want to wait too long.

How was everyone's Father's Day?

Let's see...Phin had a great weekend with his Grampa (my Dad). We did the aquarium on Father's day and all of us had a great time. They have a tank where the little ones can go under it and poke their heads up through these tubes to see the fish from "inside" the tank. Phin was loving it!  My Dad was amazed at how much Phin has grown in the past 3 months, developmentally as well as size. He said it is like meeting a new child everytime he visits.

Phin made his daddy and plaster footprint for Father's Day and Chris loved it...especially where he could see that Phin was wiggling his little toes in the plaster...

The little girl that I have been watching is freaking adorable and could convince me that a girl is not that bad. lol. Phin and her get along 85% of the time. He had to learn to share though and still stuggles on occasion with that.

AFM-17 weeks along now! I definitely feel the baby moving around and it makes ,w smile everytime. I feel better day by day and that is helping greatly.

Jem-Glad you had a great weekend! We all deserve that every now and again. ^_^

Well my friends, I think I have the next Shawn Johnson on my hands!  Leighton has been trying to do head stands so I will help her and then we roll out of it into a summersault.  It is too funny.  In addition to being a gymnast, she also is quite the dancer extraordinaire.  Her favorite music to dance to is by far pop... she will dance anywhere.  It is totally hilarious.

I just got a "Mommy" last week.  I was getting L out of the car and really slowly she said "Moooom-my".  Yep.  I admit it.  I cried.  She won't consistently call me that, but when she does it melts my heart.

We are struggling to get veggies into her diet (we give her smoothies and freshly made juice from our juicer that is hidden with carrot juice, beet juice, etc).  She never really has had too big of a problem enjoying them, but recently she won't eat any of them... even with chili powder (her absolute favorite spice).  I am assuming this is a phase of some sort.

JEM:  I, too, have scarring from my D & C.  This is what contributed to my body not being able to dilate past 3.5 cm during labor.  Keep me posted on what your doctor says.  And sister... 35 is nothing!  All is good :)

Brock is doing great!  We went camping for the first time this season for Father's Day, and he was a maniac in the water...almost to the  point where it scared me!  He just jumped right in...head in the water and all!  At the campground we went to there was a flat, concrete area with all sorts of water that sprays up.  He'd stick his head in and stand on the  spouts!  It was hilarious!  We started a parent/child swimming class at the YMCA!  He loves that too!
We still haven't gotten rid of the bottle...that's my big struggle right now.  The ped. said he should be drinking 18-24 oz. of milk/day.  I can't get him to do that with a sippy.  He still gets 2 bottles a day.  Always milk at meals, but he takes a few sips and throws it!  Lots of throwing of stuff!  He is also hitting and trying to bite!  Anyone else having these issues?
Jem-Love the  pic. of soccer!  I wish we had something like that!

TOES:  Leighton is also a hitter and thrower AND pincher.  She used to hit both of us whenever she was upset or got diciplined, but I put a stop to her hitting me.  She still hits her dad and pinches him when she gets upset with him... I told John he really has to be more firm with her but he feels bad.  Recently she has thrown in biting (again... I thought we got rid of this issue, but apparently she has rediscovered it... grumble... grumble).

Mady and I are doing great.  She is getting over a summer cold, she has had a fever for 3 days now, yuck!!!!  Otherwise I am truely enjoying every minute with her.  We went to Cornicopia,WI last week which is 7 hours from us and she did wonderfully in the car.
She is a barrel of words.  The best is at bed time she says night and blows kisses.

We really aren't dealing with hitting or biting but she sure is pushing the limits!  MAdy too is starting to skip the veggies she'll eat a few but thats about it.  I may have to try these smoothies.

Toes where did you guys go camping?  IN WI?  We are going to Devil's LAke in August!
