Pumpkins?

Hi ladies! Any one else carving a pumkin for their Little Punkins? ? We carved pumpkins last night and Noah was sooo enthralled, he just kept talking and cooing and trying to stick his hand inside, He just loved it! ( I must admit though, I probably would not have thought to carve a pumpking but I have a 10 year old and she loves to do it so I included Noah!)

We don't carve real pumpkins as I have an issue with wasting food..I know I am a party pooper. But we did cut up a pumkin and bake it and mush it up and Phin has been eating it. So he did get the pumpkin experience but in a different way. I have a ton of fake jack o'lanterns though that he loves to look at.

Oh wow! I never thought about actually cutting it up and baking it! That actually would have been really neat for Noah to actually taste the pumpkin!

We haven't carved ours yet... but we will on "Halloween Eve" :)

We bought a small one a couple of weekends ago. Since Jack is not really going to participate in the carving we decided to just write on it with a black marker. I wrote "My 1st Pumpkin". We are going to dress him up in his pooh bear costume and take pics. When we bought the pumpkin the lady told us the one we bought is good to eat as well. I think I will puree it after halloween for Jack to eat (I will let this one pass eventhough it is not organic). Though I do have to admit that I didn't even think about it till she told me. :)
