SIDS?

SIDS?

I haven't been on here in awhile...it is nice to have a moment to get on the computer! haha. :)

Anyone else totally freaked out about SIDS? I am a basket case...and everything I have read says it peaks from 2 months to 5 months...so I THOUGHT I was almost out of the woods (even though it can happen anytime that first year) but when I read that I was like "oh..darn" Blake breathes so irregularly anyways (all infants do) I hardly sleep because I sit there and listen to her breathe.

Anyone else? How are you guys keeping sane?

few things I read or heard - keep a fan on in baby's room or humidifier - that helps. Pacifiers also help. No blankets, no bumpers - just a sheet and firm mattress. ALL HELP.

I have to say that with my first baby I was extremely stressed about SIDS. I hardly slept a wink between late night feedings and waking up to make sure he was still breathing! With this baby, however, I am aware and I take the precautions, but I am not super worried about it. Our son sleeps in a sleep sac for warmth, we have him right next to our bed in a co sleeper, and we run a ceiling fan, and he sleeps on his back at night.

As a parent, I soon realized after my first, you are always worrying about something.... it will never go away!

I went and bought one of those movement sensor moniters and I love it! It really does give me a little more piece of mind and actually lets me sleep a little better bc I know the alarm will wake me up! I thought I wouldnt be so scared with my second but you still worry, weather its your first or your fifth! I dont think that part ever gets easier
