What is this>???????????

ok for past few months i have had a white creamy watery discharge and midwife says ok...but for past few wks and i had this SAME prob w last 2 pregnacies, i feel like im leaking! where literaly i can get up n morning or through-out day and my panties will b moist! i was monitored closelt w last pregnancy due to loss of amniotic fluid and wen midwife checks she said its not my fluid and u/s says its at the borderline of normal again....im really beginging to hate this bc i work in a medical dr office as a receptionist and i feel this nasty feeling of like im peeing on self but hav no smell to liquid and its clear


please any advise will help, im 35 1/2 wks preg now

I've had this alo too, and i had also lost fluid this pregnany. They tell me it is just my hormones. I also leak urine every morning (i think from being on bedrest i have no muscle control down there) I have to wear pads all the time and everytime i go to the bathroon i find myself doing the sniff test to make sure it is not amnio fluid. Wear a liner or a pad then you won't feel wet

it could be pee. My DR said most fluid would leak when you are laying down if it is amniotic. Also - you can wear a panty liner - if it is wet wet- call DR. Otherwise you can do the "sniff test". Gross, i know ;-)

LOL this may sound silly (sorry) but what is the Sniff test! I know what pee smells like LOL but what does Amniotic Fluid smell like....

I do notice that in the middle of the night, the last couple of night i will wake up and I will be wet... Not sure if its sweat but it doesnt smell like pee....

amniotic fluid smells like sperm!....my only problem is its been so long, i kinda forget the smell lol

I had that with my son's pregnancy.  It was within a couple weeks of labor and I was afraid I was leaking amnio. fluid and the Dr. and the ER (a couple times) would check me and test the...whatever it was.. (and my Dr. did a scan to check the fluid around baby and there was more than enough).   they all told me they didn't know what it was but it wasn't amnio. fluid.  But it had no color and no smell like pee would, and no consistancy like discharge does.   I'd say if it's not yellow or smelly like pee and not amnio. fluid it's gotta be some type of discharge.

ok if im up walkn NO i dont feel the wettness, its wen i wake up n morn or if im layn down on couch or something feels like im geting my period, and NO it def dont smell like urine has a sweet smell to it

LOL Too long for me too! But I dont think mine has the smell of sperm so it just might be a bit of pee

amniotic fluid has no smell and if it does its supposed to be sweeter in smell i started leaking with my first pregnancy and i did the sniff test and i couldnt smell anything i called the hospital cause it was just leaking out wetness uncontrollable and it ended up being amniotic fluid u cant go to long with a leak sprung lol the baby can start pooping and can be harmful so if u think ur leaking amniotic fluid get it checked dont wait around!!!

I asked my doctor about leakage and discharge last week. He said that if you feel wet and change your panties and don't have to change to new pair again and again, you probably just have discharge or yes can be peeing on yourself... He reminded me that you do have a baby pushing on your bladder and everything else in there. He said that Amniotic Fluid has a slight sweet smell. He also said that if you could (sounds gross but) catch it in a cup it would look like lemonade. Not the bright yellow like urine but like light yellow and kind of milky (not clear).  If it is creamy it is most likely discharge. He said it is VERY common in the last couple weeks of pregnancy!

What if you have the discharge in the beggining of pregancy. I am only 19 and having my first child with my fiancee and I am only 8 weeks pregnant but I have been having a creamy/liquidy whitish clear discharge that I can not control. Its normally only when I am sitting and just started yesterday and has me really worried. I have done the sniff test but I cant really describe the smell. Also there has been a lot of itching in the vaginal area and I am worried I might have a yeast infection or crabs because the itching is both internal and external and gets extremly bad at night. Will this harm the baby? I talked to my doctor about it but he really wasnt any help. My immagination has me going making me believe I am completely itchy all over my body but my doctor said I need to calm down and try not to stress out but what really worried me and I apologize for so much detail was the anal discharge he told me sometimes it happens in pregnancys but I have never heard of that. Can anyone help me please?

I would suggest that if possible, you find a doctor that will listen to your concerns. there is no reason for your doctor to brush off your concerns, if you cannot switch, find it in yourself to be a but firmer with the doctor and make him/her understand that you will not be silenced.

I can't offer personal experience as I was on progesterone suppositories for the first 10 weeks of pregnancy and had horrid discharge due to them.
