Confusing Pregnancy dates getting worried!!

I had my 3rd sonogram last week under the assumption that I was almost 35 weeks 5 days based on the previous sonogram. Now this sonogram showed that I was 33 weeks 3 days, I know the sonograms give or take 3 weeks but this is very confusing and scary for me, I go to my obgyn and a public clinic who do the stomach measurements that correspond with the more later date but my dilemma comes in because my Dr. wanted to induce at 38 weeks based on the 2nd sonogram. However, if the the 3rd is more accurate it means the intended induction date would render my baby not full term and I don't want to take that risk. I have a Dr.'s appt on Wed to find out the findings of the scan, But my motherly instincts is not comfortable with inducing even if the Dr dismisses the 3rd scan. Hubby thinks I should trust Dr, but I feel I will be bargaining my baby's health and what's the harm in having the baby at 40 weeks by the 2nd scan;s due date. Sorry for being long winded but this is causing me much concern. Any advice?

Thanks ladies I believe God gave us motherly instinct for a reason, hubby thinks the Dr. has the experience but my take is let the baby come naturally if the wait period is too long for her, otherwise we will be the ones who have to deal with a baby who may have some respiratory complications due to under developed lungs. Im not willing to take that chance with my pumpkin we've come too far for that. I'll keep you posted after my Wednesday Dr. visit.

Hope that you have quick, safe and successful labor and deliveries with beautiful healthy babies. Blessings to you both.

I honestly would go with the date you very first given becuase that's going to be the most accurate.  At this point all babies grow at different rates and so its really common for them to be off.  At 28 weeks my baby was measuring 30+3, but that doesn't change my due date.  Why does your Dr. want to induce you at 38 weeks?  I would personally wait and see if baby wants to come on its own unless there's a health issue or some other reason to take it early.  So I guess in a round about way I'm trying to say follow your insticts and do what makes you most comfortable :)

I would go with your instinct. The doctor can't ultimately make you induce before you are ready, so let him/her know what you are thinking.. that you don't mind going a little longer based on the 3rd scan and to see if your body goes into labor naturally in the mean time. Unless there is fetal distress or health concerns, there is no reason to induce before you are ready to. Keeping in mind that pregnancy can go all the way to 42 weeks, delivering perfectly healthy babies, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't schedule induction based on the 3rd sonogram. Maybe you can schedule for a date in-between the two.

My last measurement was showing us being a week off. I went in at 39 weeks and was measuring 38 weeks. Looks like my little girl may be a tiny one. I am now 5 days away from my DD, but if she hasn't shown up by then I am praying she will come before our scheduled induction on the 14th. Whatever has to be done to get her here though!

Let me know what the results show on Wednesday :)
