DS w/ small spot on tooth at 21 +mths?

My ds has a very teeny spot on his bottom front tooth.  We do brush his teeth every day and he is pretty good about it.  I tried to brush the spot off but it won't go away.  I know I can take him to the dentist at age 2, but should this be seen right away?  Is it a cavity????  he has such good lil teeth..i would be totally bummed.

I think he can be seen as soon as he has teeth.  I know my daughters both visited the dentist around age 1.  My oldest had a yellowish spot on her tooth, is that what yours is? Her dentist said she had fever when it was forming and that it wouldnt' brush off.  Don't know about that theory, but he said the tooth was healthy, so I was okay with it.  She now has her adult teeth, no spots, and braces!

I just called my dentist and he won't see him until he is 3 and even then the first visit is a tooth count while he is on my lap for my own appt.  they told me i should call a dentist that specializes in kids.  I forget the word they used..ughhh!
