Wow  your a real risk taker! That would scare the **** out of me just packing up and leaving the country
Good for you

Blondie-- Exciting time, I would say build  and you can make it whatever way you like it but I guess you would have to evaluate your finances,etc....

Debra maine--When I tested it was from the begining of the meal, I phoned the doctor and asked because it does make a big difference with your sugars. 10-15 min difference If I took it after I ate it was always down. Start of the meals sometimes I was over depends what I ate. I think I was only over once with spagetti, I only ate a bit but I didnt calculate in the sauce!!! AHHHH

Everyone--Hope you have a good day and DONT forget the bunny comes tonight

I had to test after 1 hour  first thing in the morning, after each meal  and also had to do the urine ketone test first thing in the morning which I dont think shubunkin had to  do you?
Ketones tests the urine to make sure you are getting enough  carbs
As I sit here right now eating easter candies~~~ Now that Im done with it  Sometimes when I pig out  For the hell of it I will test  just to see if its up.

P.S
It sounds like you like pizza  just buy the thin crust  then u can have more slices

Shubunkin--Hey its worth it for your baby  I was as good as gold while pregnant and now all hell has broken loose!!  I said to  my husband I can do when I have to  why cant I now  Soon It will be over for you then INDULGE YOURSELF
In the hospital  one lady had twins one weighed 7 lbs and the other 7 lbs 5 0z (big for twins) she was leaving the same day  I was both of us heading to   Mc Donalds    We laughed because she said she could never eat harldy  a thing too full and I couldnt eat because of the diabetic diet

They also told me you can walk off some of the sugars by going for a walk after you have eaten so have your pie and take a stroll
Happy Easter

The pizza was yummy. And I was 114 when I tested. Then today, for breakfast, I had a cheese omelet with one nutri grain waffle with 1 tbs syrup and when I tested, I was 83. So for lunch I had 3/4 of a chicken wrap with about 9 french fries and I was at 107. There doesn't seem to be anything that is spiking my sugar. I'm gonna try oj tomorrow morning to see if that spikes me. Enjoy your pie!

No, I don't have to test the ketones. But again, my dr. didn't even want me to test my sugars. I'd like to test for ketones. I'm gonna ask him if he'll test me for that. Although, I'm getting enough carbs, so it shouldn't be an issue. Happy Easter.

Yea, those are great #'s! Your lucky. If I ate that for breakfast mine would be up. And I already know what oj does to me :( and I love my oj!

There is really no need for you to test for ketones at all, unless you have a severe form of diabetes, consistently have very low blood sugar, or have severe nausea and vomiting.

Relax just a bit!  You are clearly doing fine!

I never had severe diabetes he just had me test for ketones
I think some doctors are very through
My sugars needed to be 10.6 after a hour mine were 10.9 not even out by a whole number
