Hello All,
I am on my 2nd round of clomid and have been cramping since day15 of my cycle. I have a 28 day cycle. I called the doctor's office and told them that it was pretty bad, similar to the first day of AF. Af is really bad for me,like I sometimes pass out from the pain. Though it has made childbirth a breeze for me. My question is has anyone else had this happen. I have been having cramps of different discomfort levels for 5 days now and it is on both sides. It sometimes gets so bad it feels like someone is taking my reproductive organs in my lower stomach and ringing them out like a wet towel. I am willing to do what ever it takes to get pregnant and stay that way it is just that instead of 5 bad days a month I have so far had a total of 15. Just looking for some understanding. My doctor is real laid back and says everything I am experiencing is normal. By the way I am taking Clomid for failed luteal phase. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Sorry to ramble on! Thanks, Helen

Just was reading about the "flutters" you are so anxiously awaiting to feel and wanted to comment.  With my first pregnancy I did not feel anything until about 19 weeks so hang in there it will be soon.  For me it felt like air bubbles or almost like a muscle that twitches (I know odd description on the muscle twitching).  It is funny how in the beginning we can't wait to feel it then by the last month it sometimes hurts so we beg them to stop.  With DD she would get the hiccups all the time which was so cute in my 7th month but so annoying for me by the 9th.  So right now you are begging to feel it and in about 6 months you will be online asking us how to get this kid to stop moving so much, how to get its foot out of your ribs or how to get its butt off your lungs so you can breathe.LOL

I hear you on the whole movement thing.  I am going on my 37th week on Monday and I am sooooooooooooooo uncomfortable.  I do welcome this discomfort a lot more since I had a m/c almost a yr ago but it is starting to get painful.  My feet are starting to look like someone took an airhose needle, stuck it into my foot and started pumping.  Like all of you though I could not wait to feel the baby move and I still enjoy the movements now just not the ones that are painful.  I still get a little nervous if he goes a couple hours without much movement and then I find myself shaking my tummy saying OK peanut let's move for mommy.

CMN - Hang in there.  Like Missy04 said you'll feel it soon.  I am so glad to hear you are doing well this time in your pg.  I wish you luck for the next couple months it'll be here before you know it.  I can't believe I only have about 3 weeks left.  It starts out slow and then the time sneaks up on you.  We just put our changing table together tonite and should be (hopefully) getting our crib tomorrow.  Nothing like last minute huh???  LOL!!!!!!! I am doing Care Bears for my little guy.  Some of the bedding (to me anyway) does look a little girly but I have a lot of focus on the cute bedtime bear since I had him as a little girl.  It is looking cute so far.  Well I better go it is late and I am getting tired and I have to watch my 4 month old niece all day in the morning.  Talk to you all soon.  Take Care.

I just wanted to kinda take a poll.  When did morning sickness start for you guys?  I'm just going on 6 weeks and I swear its starting already.  Could that be possible?

Feels like I'm having to experience this miscarriage twice....
I went to my Dr yesterday to get results of an US of last week. The tech told me she saw a placenta, and that it was possible for it to be a new one. So, naturally, I sort of got my hopes up. Instead, it turns out that over 6 weeks later, I have still retained a tiny fetus dating at 6w1d (exactly the date at which I began to bleed). She explained that it is very tiny (4mm), and no fetal pole or heartbeat, but I feel heartbroken again all the same. With all of the severe bleeding I've had, I guess I just assumed that it was over and I could start to heal and move on.
Apparently not so.
I REALLY don't want to have a D&C, and my Dr agrees that I can easily pass this on my own.
First I was dealing with the fear of losing my baby, and now here I am carrying around my lost fetus. It definitely didn't help that the tech suggested it could be a  new pregnancy...
Before yesterday, I was feeling pretty good, and looking forward to my DD's first birthday party this weekend. Now I feel like I've lost the baby twice, if that makes any sense at all...
Plus my Dr advises for us to wait until I have a period (which could be a while) beore we try again. I just don't want to wait, and I know that many women get pregnant without having had a period in between. But I also don't want to endanger a new baby just because I am eager! Any thoughts?
Thanks ladies,

The clomid gave me VERY intense cramping for several days during O time. It was awful. I could have ripped them out, it was so bad. What was even worse is after all that pain, it appears I never actually Oed. I hope that you are at least Oing! Are you having your blood drawn to see?

by chiquitilla, Aug 20, 2004 12:00AM
Hello everyone it's me again. and now i really feel that i belong to this forum. i took a pt yesterday through blood draw because whenever i would do the poas it would be neg. well i got the results a few hours after the draw. it was 1 point above positive!!!i had a feeling that i was, that was the whole reason why i took the test. i had been cramping and lactating, not sure how far along i am, but am happy. planning on moving out next month with bf and dd. my mother doesn't know i'm pg, did not really want to tell anyone because i tend to have really bad luck when i really want something and do not want to end up having a m/c. i am afraid though that i might be ectopic because i feel a lot of pressure on the side. a bit concerned but mostly happy! :)

Nope, not too early to be feeling sick.
I started with the morning sickness around 5 weeks or so.
I only threw up maybe 3 times the entire pregnancy but sometimes the just feeling sick is worse than actually getting sick.
Garlic was one of the things that would set my morning sickness off. And dh loves garlic!!!!!
A friend of mine had a problem with bacon frying.
Good Luck

I think 6 weeks sounds about right.  I ate alot of Melba toast and always ate as soon as I got out of bed in the morning, which helped.  Hopefully, it won't last too long!  I am 29 weeks and haven't had any "all day" sickness since about 14 weeks.  Good Luck.

Blondie, is it you who is having lots of Braxton-Hicks?  I am 29 weeks, and my stomach seems like it is constantly tightening and hard.  The baby is very active though, so I don't think that signifies a problem.  I have a doctor's appt. this am and I'm going to tell him about it, but I would love to hear from anyone else having lots of BH contractions!  Thanks.

Yes Karen it is I who is having these BH contractions.   I had a dr appt this morning but no dialation yet.  They did a Q tip swab and there was some blood.   I hope that was normal.  I have been feeling these contractions for a while now it has just been recently they have been painful.  Good Luck to you.  Let us know how your appt  went.

I am right there with you on the discomforts.  As for my feet, last night the one was so sore, it was like I could feel the skin streaching!  My DH refers to my feet as "cankles", cause it's like I don't even have ankles anymore!

Had my midwife's appt yesterday and she said the head is right down against my cervix - said it's in perfect position for when the water breaks, as there won't be any room (meaning we won't have to worry about) the cord getting wrapped around the neck at all.  But with the head against the cervix, it is sure uncomfortable, almost painful.  I wouldn't mind going early, just want to get a couple more things cleaned up at work.  I'm scheduled to work until the 10th of Sept. and have a big presentation that day - didn't want to leave work too early as I'd just sit around the house feeling anxious.

For all our new BFP's - congratulations.

For those suffering M/C - my thoughts are with you, having lost one at 6 weeks, I can sympathize with what you are going through. Stay positive - I'm proof you can have a successful pregnancy after a m/c.

For those TTC - Baby dust!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Thanks for responding. I have had blood drawn and the doc says that I am O'ing. I hope I can get pregnant soon so I don't have to keep going through this. Thanks, Helen

Thanks for your responce on the Fluttering feelings, I know i have to learn to be patient but that's not one of my stong points. I do have my next u/s date scheduled for Sept 9 I'll be 19 weeks, If i haven't felt the baby move by then hopefully i'll be able to see it move on the u/s. When did you ladies first see your babies move? I was reading my SIL's book and she didn't feel both her babies move until about 19 weeks, you are probably both right closer to the end i'll be like how do i get it to stop (LOL). How are your pregnacies going?

I got to see my little one move on August 4th. I was 12 weeks along. It was bouncing around in there. Like they say though, every one is different!!! Be patient!

you can take malox and or zantac while pg so i don't see why you couldn't take it while ttc.

have you missed af yet?
one point above pg on a quant blood pg test would put your hcg level at 6.  sorry i was just a little confused your statement didn't make sence to me.
oh and if that is the case, that would make sense why an hpt doesn't work...because even the most sensitive hpt can't read true until you have an hcg level of at least 25
good luck to you

Hey you, my pg is going very well (except for the discomforts) I had my appt today and because of my swollen feet which will not go down no matter how long I elevate them the nurse said the dr may want to induce at 38 weeks.  I really have no objections to that.

To answer your other ????  about movements I first saw the baby move around in my stomach @ 6 or 6 1/2 months I think.  I can't remember exactly.  I know what you mean about being impatient.  That is my middle name.  I am the queen of impatience.  It makes my DH crazy.  He is always so optimistic about everything and I am the total opposite but hang in there you will feel & see something real soon.  I hope you continue to have a healthy happy pg.  Take care.
