month old wont eat

by mommytoacuteboy, Jun 25, 2009 05:22PM
My almost nine month old son has recently decided to stop eating his baby food. He will take a few bites with no problem ,then he will refuse to eat any more and start to cry. I dont know what to do, I've tried giving him a different food that I know he likes and he still wont eat. does anyone have any suggestions? I could really use them. thanx

is it baby food you buy at the store or do you make it my mom swars by the stuff you make i didnt get into it my son ate baby food from the store for a while but then he started doing the same thing your kid is doing so we just started giving him our food cutting it up really small didnt give him any hard meat or anything but ya know food that he can eat and it seemed to fix the problem plus have you tried any of that baby food i think its utterly gross i wouldnt eat it and i didnt expect my child to do anything different just be careful what you introduce to him not to many new things at once cause he could develop a food allergy and if he does you want to know what it may be that he is allergic to

I also wanted to add that my twins went through the same thing and stopped eating and also started chocking on even pureed food. this went on for at least 4 days and then it turns out the were breaking through their molars early. Once they broke the surface they went back to eating just fine. So mayby check for teeth coming that you might not expect to be there. Good luck and remember he will eat if he is hungry.

i have a little bit the same issue for the last two days with my almost 9 month baby...and today i found out 2 front incisors are cutting out ...that s why and he is a bit cranky ..usually an angel...and he is down interms of food especially solid...he is okay with his formula...so wait for a few days....
no worry he will pass this phase...if he keeps continueing over a week ...try to change a different type of food...
good luck
