I'm 10 weeks pregnant already, and u/s still cann't see the baby. I don't have any cramping, no bleeding at all, not even spottingVaginal bleeding between periods. The doctor said she is very certain the baby is dead, and suggested D&C. I don't give up hope, maybe the baby is hidden somewhere, so I like to wait for couple of weeks, instead of doing surgery very soon. Do you have a similar experience? What's your suggestion??
my second mc happened at 10 weeks. Like you i had no symptoms of mc and wouldnt have known if i didnt have an us. The us showed sack but no baby. My levels went down more and more each day. Make sure u get them checked...good luck, im praying for u!
Sounds like a blighted ovum. I had the same thing but never had my levels checked. I regret that now, but am thankful for my son that we conceived 2 months after my d&c so I can't complain.
I agree, have them check your levels :) good luck! momttc
As early as 8 wks and usually at 10 wks your hormone levels will start to decline even in a normalNormal saline flush pregnancy that is what my doctor told me. At this stage in the game, it is not really an accurate predictor of the outcome of your pregnancy. Do you have a tilted uterus? That can affect the reading of some womenWomen's way's u/s reading. Go to http://home.earthlink.net/~misdiagnosed/
There is a case of Ragmama whose baby did not show until 11 wks. There is another gal (can't remember her name right now) her baby did not show until 13 wks. I don't want to give a false hope, but I do believe it is best to wait things out just to make sure there is not a misdiagnosis. If you ovulated late or have a tilted uterus, that can throw things off. It is only by waiting it out, you will see how things are going. Especially since you have no symptoms, I would be very cautious. Implantation bleeding is very common and normal in the first trimester of pregnancy. I wish you the best. Let us know how it goes.
It is hard to say. The best thing to do is to get an ultrasound and to have your hormone levels monitored. That is the only sure way that you will know. If a gestational sac is seen, you might still be pregnant. If no yolk sac or fetal pole is seen, I would wait a few weeks to see if it will show up. Sometimes not everything shows up in early weeks on the ultrasound. I hope that all goes well.
Hello I am about to start my ninth week of pregnancy and just had an untrasound done and was basically told that their wasn't a baby in side the sac. I am devestated to hear, I go to have my second blood test to check the levels tomorrow I will be curious to see what the out come is going to be. I have two beautiful children so I am blessed to have them, but I'm still having a terrible time excepting that their isn't anything in the sac. I thought I saw something at first but as she kept looking on the u/s I started noticing that I wasn't seeing a heart beat, or at this point anything. I haven't been spotting or cramping. No signs of a miscarage I think that is what makes it so hard to except that I am not going to have a baby in seven months. My due date is 8/20/05 I am going to encluded my email address just in case there is someone else, that is going through this at the same time as myself, or if some one has experienced the same thing with a good out come.

i had a miscarriage in dec 2008 and u could see a baby there but no heartbeat that was at 8 wks but now preganant again and had my first scan yesterday and thare was a 10 wk sac but nothing in it was just like an empty ballon they said that i have had a miscarriage but i have no symtoms of a bleed like last time my breast are still sore i had all the sickness im just confused why i wudnt see a baby there even if it had died didnt give me no explantion can anyone shed some light on this i have to go back in to weeks to see if the sac is reducing
i am currently going through a similar situation. My HCG levels are rising however dr's can't find a baby anywhere. They are afraid of an ectopic pregnancy. I don't want to make any rash decisions in hope that the baby will show up in the uterus soon. How was your outcome?
sounds like most of these a cases of blighten ovum in which case the egg does fertilize but the baby never developes and of course ur hcg is going to increase because the placenta did develope i know it hard to just get it over with but if they do numerus u/s and still there nothing in the sack its a blighten ovum ive been there done that
Debra
I agree with Debra-have a blood draw and hormone level check done.
I agree, have them check your levels :) good luck! momttc
