10k run?

10k run?

I plan to run a 10K in 4 months but I'm not sure if I will be pregnant by then.  If I am 3 months pregnant, does anyone know if it's bad for me to run 10K?

You can do it as long as you're accustomed to running those distance.  I personalyl stopped running when I got pregnant since I had two previous miscarriages.  Plus I can't seem to keep my heartrate under 140 especially on the hills...it just shoots up to 160.

Run on!  I ran 5 miles a day until I was about 7 months in both of my pregnancies.  I had cut my distance back a few miles when I found out I was pregnant, moreso because I was tired than anything else.  After 7 months or so I began briskly walking the same or greater distances.  It was fantastic.  Kept me sane and helped me bounce back alot quicker.

I agree with low22 if you're body is used to it. My friend ran her whole pregnancy and just had a healthy baby boy.
I was wondering the same thing though with TTC. Today was my O day (I think) and DH and I BD right before I went to the gym and worked out. So I don't know if that hurt anything. I hope not. I always worry about it.

The thing is, I'm only use to running 5k.  I'm training now to run 10k in May for the first time.  I will play it by ear and see how I feel.  Thanks for everyone's input!
