11 weeks empty sack

i went to the doctors for a u/s and they say that they seen nothing there that it could be a blighted ovum and that they also heard no heartbeat, is there hope that this could have been a mistake?my homone levels went from 42,200 on monday to 39000 on wedsday what should i think?

I am very sorry you are going through this.  I will be honest with you that when HCG goes down it is not a good sign.  I m/c due to a blighted ovum last June.  I was spotting and went in for an u/s, i was supposed to be 9w but when they saw the sac, which was empty, it measured 6w6d - no hearbeat either.  It sounds as though you do have a blighted ovum - have hope I am now 34w2d.  SO even if you m/c you still have change to go on with a healthy pregnancy because I did

I am sorry to say this, but it looks highly unlikely that you will carry this baby to term.  By 11 weeks you should see a little baby in there, little arms, legs and a strong heart beat.

It does sound like you have a blighted ovuum.

I am sorry you are going through this.  I had two mc last year and I know how devestating it is.

I'm sorry you're going through this.  If it's any comfort at all, you're not alone.  From this forum, I realized that miscarriages are a lot more common than I ever would have thought, not that it helps entirely when you're the one going through it.  I've had two miscarriages myself since last September.  Again, sorry you have to go through this.
