12wks pregnant no heartbeat

im 12 wks pregnant by edd with 3rd baby had first u/s today baby measured only 8wks and no heartbeat detected doctors suggest miscarriage arranged 2nd u/s in 1 wk to check for any change in size of baby really worried any advice would be appreciated

I had the same thing happen, unfortunately for me I miscarried.... After this happening 3 times in a row it was discovered I had low progesterone.. God bless

Very sorry to hear about your last dr. visit.  I had an u/s at 6 weeks with a heartbeat.  Started spotting 3 days later.  Had another u/s at 8 weeks...no heartbeat, fetal development had actually gotten smaller than 6 week u/s.  Unfortunately, I miscarried.

I agree with Jennifer don't give up... I have heard this happening before and go back and find the heartbeat, God bless

this was 1st u/s had not heard or seen heartbeat before and ive had no pain or bleeding really hope doctors are wrong and that the baby is fine, worried about the difference between my dates and the size of baby i was sure of dates and 4 wks is a big difference.

i'm going through this too, I'm 23 and this is my first pregnancy ever. i'm only 9 weeks pregnant (7 weeks fetal age)and went for my first ultrasound yesterday, the size of the baby is 2.33cm but the doctor wasn't able to detect a heartbeat, he suggested that i come back in a week to see if the baby is growing still, and whether they can detect a heart beat...  but after what i've read :( i'm very discouraged and am finding myself even more stressed out. this is very uncommon in my family so i have this guilty sense of "what did i do wrong?"... i need prayer and hope...

i will pray for u. i feel the same way thinking is it my fault is there something i could have done to prevent it i have two children already and had healthy pregnancies with both so i was really frightened when i found out i could possiby miscarry really really hoping everything is ok when i go back on wednesday and i really hope everything turns out fine for you to
