2 HPT Positive Doctors test negative then faint positive

I had my last period on Feb. 24th.  I am very abnormal and my cycles are generally around 38 days but have gone as long as 56.  I tested on the 8th of April late that night and got a positive HPT.  I tested again eary the next morning and the same results were evident.  

I scheduled an appointment which was yesterday at 4PM.  My urine test showed negative and then after several minutes a faint positive.  I am awaiting the results of a blood test, but am anxious and courious to know other's thoughts on this.  According to my calculations I should have ovulated around the 20th of March.  This would put me at only 5 or 6 weeks along (2-3 weeks from conception).  I had drank a lot of fluid yesterday and had urinated 7 times in the 3 hours before the appointment.  

The doctor said that considering I had 2 positive HPT's and they had one that was faintly positive that I probably am pregnant and that since the test was so late in the day that could be the problem.  He said that I probably am only a few weeks pregnant and that could be part of the reasoning for the faint test.  

I have had "morning sickness" and fatigue and several other symptoms like I had with my first son (2 1/2 years old).  However, this has me greatly concerned.  I have had not cramping and no bleeding or spotting at all.

I am very concerned and worried about what this test will come back with.  

Anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

Why are you so 'worried' about what the test is going to say???
Do you want another baby?
I'm no doctor but you have two + HPT and a + at the docs office, a + is a + no matter how faint.
No cramping and no spotting is a good sign if you are pregnant. I don't understand why you are worried about not cramping or spotting......
Sounds to me like you ARE pregnant, just like your doc said.
When do you get the results of your blood test back?

I had that happen with our second son. I didn't feel good and my period was late so I went and bought a two pack of pregnancy tests I took one as soon as I got home and the test was neg. I waited a couple days and took the other test first thing in the morning and I had a faint second line. So you very well could be pregnant, but just pregnant that is why your line wasn't to dark yet.

Hello.  I'm about 8 weeks pregnant with my 4th child (unexpected, but happy about it)  When my period was late I got a HPT, it showed positive - I was in shock.  So I got up early the next morning and tested again...another positive.  Then later that same day, one more time that showed negative!  So, then I didn't know what to think.  Fortunately a good friend of ours runs a medical lab and I went in and had a blood test, showing very positive.  I was told that testing later in the day or if you've had a lot to drink during the day can "water" down the results.

I am happy to update that I am pregnant.  

I have been trying for a year now to no avail.  I guess that is why I was so worried.  I wanted so much to be pregnant that I was afraid something would happen and I would not be.  They estimate that I am probably only about 6 weeks along, and I have an appointment scheduled for May 4th for an ultrasound.  

I am so excited.

Hi im new in this website, I'm trying to conceive.   My period is like work clock (28 to 30 every month) but I have been late almost a week or so (last period day 3/27/05) I tested three days ago (4/29/05)in the morning and came out negative and tested once again yesterday 5/01/05 in the morning and came out negative again I don't know what's going on with my body last week I was having cramps Period-like and now im have less cramps Ovulation type.  The test that I bought was clarblue the digital one I don't know if this brand is accurate (expensive thu) or if is just my hcg hormones are very low because is to early or just stress.  My question is if somebody had the same as me and went pregnant?.  

I have an appointment with my ob/gyn on may 5th let see what happen.

Your answer will really help me.
