I'm planning to use the AVENT natuarally bottles. I heard they are great for switching from breast to bottle because they are shaped like the mother's breast. Also they are good for colicColic and crying Gallbladder disease. Here is the website http://www.avent.com. I'm not sure about the pp bleeding as I haven't given birth yet( im 35w2days) Hope this helps =)
I am registered for the Avent bottles. I met with a friend of mine who bottle feeds today and she swears by the Dr. Brown's bottles saying they allow little to no bubbles and are the best she's used. I will probably add some of them to my registry as well!
I was still bleeding at 5 weeks PP. I went to the dr. at 4 weeks and she said my uturs was not in place yet and on the 5th week I had huge softball size clots and it was so bad that I was waring a pad and tampon and having to change every 2 hours or so then one day it stoped and I haven't had any bleeding since. I am almost 9 weeks pp now. Call your dr. to make sure but I say it is ok.
DR. BROWN BOTTLES!!! They worked great for my daughter. I tried every bottle on the market, but nothing compares to the Dr. Brown ones. My daughter had reflux problems and they helped out alot. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!
I registered for the Playtex drop in system. You can push all the air out to prevent gas plus it saves wash time! And I am a total dork and seriously compared the bottle nipple to my own. LOL Yeah...I know...I'm an idiot. But really...it was close to the same size!
I am a little over four weeks pp and I am not bleeding at all. This is my second day without and kind of pad or liner. I passed a blood clot the size of a hotdog (bun included...so it was huge) at two weeks pp. Then blood was just pouring out of me for about 15 min. Doctors didnt seem concerned though. Maybe thats why Im not bleeding anymore.
As for the bottles.... I use the Playtex nurser drop-in system. They work well and the nipple isnt too long.
my first pg i only bled like a week and a half. my second one i was still bleeding lightly at my 6 week follow up. they said it was totally normal, and it did stop just a few days after the appt.
unless it becomes painful, or gets heavier in time instead of lighter, dont worry too much
I like the advent Naturally's I didn't breastfeed though but you have four sizes of nipples and not to much gas build up. (kmart, target, and CVS) all carry this type of bottle and also the pacifers.
