2 year old bruises too easy

2 year old bruises too easy

Hello everyone. My 2 year old son i have noticed here lately seems to have bruises all over him. None on his butt, or head, but everywhere else. Mainly on his legs front and back and arms front and back. he does fall alot. My daughter never bruised that easy. He has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, but my daughter is the saem. His iron lvls are fine. My husband and I have noticed a few weird things about him other than that. He always wants to eat, he eats and 15 mins later hungry again. He wants "drinks" all the time. No excessive urination though. He seems to have a slight tremor too. Maybe but not really sure on that. Any suggestions? I asked the ped. doc all he had to say was light hair, blue eyes , bruise easy. He didn't even look him over. So what next, any one got one like this or had one like this.

Does he fall alot?
This isnt really about bruising, My nephew kept breaking his arm He broke the same arm 3 times in a period of a year they tested him for brittle bone disease, blood work and several things and nothing ever did come back.  It was little things like pushing a car across the rug and fell on his arm, fell off a chair,   He seems a right today.

There are loads on both mine and my husbands side. I plan on taking him in a week to get him checked out. He has a check up then anyways.

that drinkint alot sounds like there may be a thyroid problem, my son had that and by the age of 3 they had him on medication.  Maybe ask your doctor if that is a possiblity, any diabetes in your family?

He is always falling. The littlest bump bruises him. Thats what worries me. My daughter is complected just the same and is fine. I'm going to start using cold compresses on the bruises and see how that goes. I still think he should be tested though.

Please let me know what you find out.  My 3 yr. old daughter has the same problem and concerns me.  She is very tiny and fragile for her age.  Only 30 lbs.  She does have lots of little falls so maybe that is what it is.  I try and get her to eat a balanced meal and take vitamins.  I hope your sons gets better.  Thanks for letting me know what you find out.

My oldest dd was very small for her age also, and I remember she bruised very easily too.I remember giving her a bath one night, and her legs were just covered in bruises. The next day,I took her to her dr. and made them give her a blood test [i was convinced it was leukemia,i read to many medical books].Her blood work came back fine, she just bruises more easily ,even now at 11.If your concerned,a simple blood test for iron levels or white cell count or thyroid will put your mind at ease.
