20 week scan

Hi everyone. I am scheduled for my big 20 week scan on August 7th and I was wondering what I should expect? The doctor told me that the scan takes about an hour and I was just curious if anyone can fill me in on what all they are going to do. :-) Thanks.

well at my 20 week scan they told me what i was having which i wanted to know and they took measurements, looked at the heart to make sure blood was flowing through properly, looked at the spine, hands,feet and all body parts to make sure they were developing, took the heartbeat and had a generally look around, at kidneys,liver and stomach that was about it don't worry it's great to see the baby move around it's very exciting too well it was for me as this is my first baby
