2nd miscarriage in a row

2nd miscarriage in a row

Well found out that I had my 2nd m/c. My levels went down I was only 5 weeks along. The first time I was 6 weeks. My progesterone was really high but the hcg number was really low. So she said that I would m/c which I did on Sunday. I haven't had any tests done at all. It's just wierd because I didn't have a hard time at all with my DD. My first m/c was June 3, 2006 and my second m/c was Sept. 3, 2006. Both were natural m/c.(no d&C done) What should I do? Should we wait to TTC again? Should I get tests done? I'm so confused on what I should do. I'm having a hard time deciding what to do. Should I let my body recover for a while?

i'm so sorry for your losses. i've also been through 2 m/cs so i know what you're going through. after my first m/c i was recommended (not by dr. though he said could try right away) to wait a few cycles (about 3). after the 2nd i decided i'm not going to wait, but had to wait a cycle b/c i was being tested for possible reasons of m/c. turns out i have mhftr mutation (blood clotting disorder) which is Thank G-d pretty easily treatable (extra folic acid, vitamin b6, and baby aspirin daily). I would suggest you speak to your dr. about testing - a lot of docs wait till 3 m/cs (G-d Forbid) before testing, but maybe if you push for it he'll let. check with your insurance what they cover. good luck. thinking of you and here for you when you need.

I've had two miscarriages not in a row a healthy 8 year old in between.  I am waiting for the testing results to come back..  I pushed the issue I don't want to go through this again. My insurance also covers it.  Good luck  Dana

I am so sorry for your losses. This happened to me too (BO in March and D&C in May). We decided to wait at least 3 cycles, not only for my body to heal, but also for our emotions to heal. We had a great summer and are finally able to move on with our lives without guilt. I am currently in the tww and I am soooo glad we waited. I think that I am more mentally prepared for the worrying that I will do from the minute I find out I'm pregnant again. I wish the best for you. Just remember to take care of yourself and know that people will understand if you do not want to talk to them. (I ignored calls for almost 3 weeks)!

I would check with your insurance to see what they cover. 2 m/c is to many!! Some docs like to wait till after three, but I think makin women suffer through that heartache is rediculous. Talk to your doc and your ins co about it. I am truely sorry for your loss. I will be thinking of you :o)

I had 2 m/c in a row after having 2 children.  I was frustrated and my doctor told me to wait a few cycles before trying again.  She said if I had a 3rd m/c then we would test.  But, happily, on the 3rd try we had a healthy boy who is now 5.  Just hang in there and don't lose faith .  Good luck!

it's possible it's a blood clotting disorder, but it could be something else so definitely important to test. i do know that i've read on here about women who've had healthy pregnancies and have children and only later (after a few m/cs) found out have blood clotting disorder. basically what happens is the blood clots and cuts off oxygen supply from getting to baby and then lose the baby. i hope that whatever it is you have it's easily treatable and you go on to a healthy pregnancy real soon.

Does the blood clotting disorder cause early m/c, or is it all over the scale? Just curious. I've only had 1 m/c so far, but like to fill my head with info just in case:) Thanks

blood clotting can cause early pregnancy loss, but i believe it can also happen later in the pregnancy. i guess it just depends on when the blood actually clots. it can also be that you don't clot the whole pregnancy and everything is fine (hence women who have healthy pregnancies don't know have blood clotting and then start m/c other pregnancies, test, and find out have blood clotting - it was always there just doesn't always happen). it's definitely not the sole cause of early m/c - it could be something else. or it could be just a fluke - which in most cases it is. i think just on here we seem to hear about so many women with multiple m/cs and reasons for it so we seem to think reason for every m/c and always way to fix it. hopefully in your case it will just be a fluke and you'll go on to a healthy pregnancy real soon. if G-d Forbid you m/c again that's when i'd start pushing for the testing. good luck.

oh dear hon...it must be devastating, sooo sorry to hear it's your 2nd ....hang in there, but i think you should may be just give your body a rest for a while & oh yeah take a clean out..ask your DR what to take so your system would be clean to ttc again, like you asked it could be blood clot...but  to me your DR should have cleaned you out properly when you first M/C it's the right thing to do...or if not sue his a@# for having you going through a second one if he didn't clean you good ....but hon something wonderful will happen for you & your DH...i'll pray for you ok!!! ***baby dust**** :)
