2nd time mommies

Was the old wives tale about the heart rate accurate for your other child(ren)? ( over 141 means a girl and under 140 means a boy) I'm curious to know.

Also if you were carrying low what did your baby turn out to be?

I got 2 weeks until I find out :(

I am carrying low and my babies heartrate has stated in the 160 and I am having a boy :-)

I carried high with both my girls and always had h/b above 140 bpm with both girls.

Both mine have been boys, they run around 150 to 130, sometimes a little higher if they were really hyped up.  My ifrst one I carried pretty low, but am short and have a short torso, so by the end I was all belly from my chest down.  I'm now 35 weeks 5 days and carrying very low with this one too.  My Dr. told me that my son stretched me out though because of his size and this one has been on my bladder the entire pregnancy.  My belly comes straight out from my pubic bone, kinda funny.  Some people do carry boys high though, and I'm sure if the next one is a girl I will still carry low.  Better than my poor neighbor.  She carried her little girl in the boobs and butt (not literally) but that's where she grew, had hardly a belly at all.

No way, over 141 just means the baby is awake and 'active'.  Under, would mean, well uh...sleeping.
No gender proof here, don't be fooled.

This was a just-for-fun type thing, I did read all the articles on the accuracy. It's just pretty much a guessing game for anyone :)

The heartbeat is an old wives tale.  It's got a 50/50 chance of being right but you cannot use it to predict the sex.

my two boys were always lower heartbeats...130-140
my little girl had the typical girl heartbeat 155.
It was right for me.  I had numerous ultrasounds and everytime they were "BOY" beats or "Girl" beats.  The ultrasound tech said it was an old wives tale, but more often than not it is TRUE.
