Take her to the ER. Kids can dehydrate very easily. Don't give her anything to eat and only give her a sip of something to drink every 10 minutes. If you let her guzzle a drink down..... she'll bring it all back up.
Aww, Honey, I'm so sorry! My son has been doing the samething for 4 days now, but he has had a bad feverAllergic rhinitis Coccidioidomycosis Febrile seizures Fever Fever blister Fever blisters and canker sores Herpes labialis (oral herpes simplex) Histoplasmosis Malaria Rheumatic fever Scarlet fever with his. I can hear his stomach and he just sits a weeps. Its so hard, I've never seen him this sick. He keeps throwing up, but I think he is choking on drainage. I had to take him to the er on Friday 3am, then my dad took him to the doctor this morning (I'm on bed rest). They gave him a rocefin (sp) shot. You may want to take her in if shes feeling that bad. Poor kiddo, I'll be praying for her, I know Jack is miserable. Let me know how it goes when you get a chance!
sounds like a stomach bug. try giving her pedialyte. vomitting too much can cause dehydration. i wouldnt give her any solids either, just liquids. try a broth soup. she needs to have something in her belly, and that may also promote a bowel movement which may help alot if it is a stomach bug. hope she feels better soon!
Thanks ladies for your advice. We just got back from the ER. They said she wasn't dehydrated so she must be getting enough from what she is drinking before she vomits again. They told me to keep giving her clear fluids and said if the vomitting continues over the next 24 hours they want me to come back so they can admit her and put her on IV fluids. They said although there are meds for vomitting and nausea for her age they strongly recommend not giving them unless they are violently vomitting because the meds are not tested thoroughly and have more risks than benefits.
Thanks again for all of your responses.
