35 weeks and cant take it anymore!

35 weeks and cant take it anymore!

I'll be 35 weeks in two days and i was wondering how safe would it be to put myself thorugh labor by walking, sex, pineapple juice things like that? My baby is putting so mych pressure on my pelvic area that i can hardly walk at times, and his little feet keep getting caught in my rib cage. this hurts like hell and i have this stabbing feeling in my belly button! my back is killing me nad i'm just so uncomfertble! I'm not sure how much longer I can TAKE THIS! Do you think its safe for me to try these home remedies or should i stop complaining and stick it out?

The longer you can keep him in the better for him. Like my friend told me when I was put on bedrest for 8 weeks this is only a little blip of time and she was right. I don't want to sound mean but this is not about you, it's about the health of your baby.

I'd say before 37 weeks, it's better for your baby to be inside you than anywhere else. By 37 weeks you're considered full term but before then your baby's not fully developed enough for you to try to self-induce (I, personally wouldn't recommend self-induction until your 40 weeks but just my opinion). Your baby's lungs, in particular, aren't quite developed enough for baby to breathe properly on his own. Hang in there. I know it's really tough- I went to 41 weeks 2 days and it was BRUTAL!!!!! No matter how uncomfortable, baby's better off in your belly!

at 36 weeks the final organs are developed, which are the lungs. babys of course can be ok as my sis delivered 2 babies 35/36 weeks. but you shoulnd try without your dr. ok. i went on bedrest beginning of 8th month and stayed till 36 weeks. then had him on the 37th sure remember how i wanted him out!! 8 pounds 7 oz, glad i didnt go any further. lots of luck to you in your delivery!!let us know when the little baby enters the world!!

I have felt the same way, but know it is best to wait it out and when the time is right she will be here.  But I have gone through the same thing within the last two weeks of saying what can I do to help the process come sooner, but then thought to myself I better enjoy being pregnant while I can, b/c it is almost over.  Not that I haven't enjoyed it already, but it comes and goes so fast I feel like I haven't been pregnant all that long.  Good luck!  Your baby will be here before you know it.  When is your actual due date?  Mine is July 28th!

I have had several people tell me that was their birthday and so there are a lot of people wishing for her to be born on their special day!  Maybe she will!  Who knows.  But I at least hope she will be born on that day rather than a week or two later:P

I had to be induced at 35 weeks with my second babe because of preaclampsia. She was not ready at all! Her little chest struggled up and down. She was on oxigen and an IV for a few days, bili ruben light for jaundes, and an antibiotic just in case. A little 4.5 pounder covered w/ tubes is a sad and very scarey thing, she looked like my husband as an old man, no fat on her cheeks, very frail. All the while I was pumping colostrum and milk for her to drink from a cup, she choked it down! I was discharged before her and came in every day from 7am to 11pm-very tireing! I was finaly able to nurse her seven days later and she was pleasantly surprised with that:) I know some babies need more intervention when they are born far earlier, but it was still a bad deal! Even at 37 weeks some babies need oxigen help, it just depends on their lung maturity and strength. I am 28 weeks and I feel like the next 12 are going to fly. Just think about how quickly the first part went by, you only have five weeks left. However, even if you did try to induce w/ walking or what not this early, it probably wouldn't work unless you were drastic w/ herbs or diaretics or dehydrateing yourself, it would be far worse than what you are experiencing now! Try to stretch for pains, it won't be long !)

I am sorry to hear that.  I have no idea how that feels, but I hope that the day and week won't be bad and it will be a happy day/week for you!  Good Luck!  I am sure everything will be fine this time.  Just relax and try and enjoy this go around. Thanks for the advice!

For everyone who has gone through loss after loss, they would gladly give anything to be in your shoes. Be patient, it stinks, I know. I went into PTL with my first at 26 weeks and was on bedrest for months and went on to deliver him 2 days after my EDD. With my second I was 8 days overdue when I had him. Trust me, when I was faced with the possibility of going early with my first I was terrified and was ever thankful he stayed in a cooked for a good long time. While most will have good lung maturity at or after 37 weeks, it isn't 100% guaranteed. Let baby cook and never, ever try to induce yourself without a docs permission and certainly never this early.

I have known of babies born less than a month early that have had collapsed lungs as a result, as well as permanent breathing problems. It may be hard, but the longer baby stays in the better, unless your body is putting baby at risk.

Reading all of your comments has reassured me of my need to wait. I spent most of last night tossing and turning with baby's foot on my belly button, elbows on my ribs and massive leg pain. In the end, it's true what u ladies say, it will be over soon and in the end...it will all be worth it. I guess we have to daily remind ourselves of that! I just started my 36th week and REALLY looking forward to a promt delivery...the only thing that keeps me going is knowing that my son is scheduled to be born the same as my birthday...July 24th.
So, for all you Leo moms and babies to be born....a big hello from La Belle Paris....
