HI, I have a baby that will be 4 months on 7/30. The doctor has said she was born that she ad advanced muscle tone. However she isn't rolling over yet. She rolls to her side but that is it. She hated being on her stomach she will tolerate it for like 3 minutes then starts screaming. She is almost sitting up on her own though. She loves to stand. I am just wondering if I should be concerned? Please share your storines on at what age your baby was doing what. Thanks!
There is a great book by the Your Pregnancy Week by Week people, called something like Your Baby's FirstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc Year Week by Week. Babies who are sleeping on their backs (for the preventing-SIDS value) sometimes come in a few weeks later on some upper-body milestones, but in any case it is generally accurate and you would really like it! It answers so many of that kind of question. What your daughter is doing sounds exactly normalNormal saline flush. My son was also born with great muscle strength, and would roll front to back really young, but then he stopped doing it and only has really begun rolling (and he does it really well now) at somewhere between 6 and 7 months. Now he does it front to back, back to front and twirling on his fat tummy, but before, not much. Give her some tummy time on your lap, or on the couch with you on the floor talking to her, it's easier than just on the big old floor. Have fun!
