4 weeks past c-section still bleeding?

4 weeks past c-section still bleeding?

I had a c-section 4 weeks ago today.  I still have some bleeding from time to time.  I haven't had to wear a pad for almost a week, but am starting to bleed enough to need a pany liner today.  I don't remember how long I bled after my first...it was a vaginal birth.

Is it normal to still have some light bleeding 4 weeks after birth?

Totally Normal. I had bleeding for a long time after my c-section.
Even after a vaginal you can bleed for a longtime.

I know I had talked to people after I had my c-section and there is a big misconception out there that people with c-sections dont go thru the same things after as a person who had a vaginal.
Its like hello and then some.

Yes, it's normal.  I bled for 6-7 weeks after my first c/s and between 5-6 weeks after my 2nd c/s.

i remember bleeding for about 6-7wks after . also i bf and noticed after bf i would bleed heavily, sometimes. i later found out it was b/c my uterus was contracting. extra info just in case anyone experienced this and wasn't sure why. the 1st time it happened to me i thought something must have come loose inside!!
