Hey.. I went for my first appt. last thursday and according to my last period which was on aug 9th, I was around 4 weeks and one day pregnant, which is really only 2 weeks pregnant.. She confirmed my pregnancy and checked all my levels. HcG was 428 and Progesterone level was 123. She said they both looked great, but after looking up progesterone levels, mine seems a lil high for only being this far along. I'm not worried, because I believe that higher numbers are good, but I was just curious as to how high this number seems to you guys. I go for my first ultrasound next thursday and I'll be 6 weeks.. I am so excited.
WOW! 123? Mine was only 15 with my second preg and they said that was great (of course I miscarried a week later...). I get so confused with all these numbers. I think you're right though, as long as it's higher, I think you probably have nothing to worry about.
Yes I was on Clomid.. Does that affect my Progesterone Level during pregnancy? If it does, then that would explain why it is so high. I had read that high progesterone levels could mean twins or something so I was a little nervous about that.. Twins would be fun, but a lot of work.. hehe..
Thanks everyone.. I looked at that website and it says that normal levels from conception to 12 weeks should be 9 to 47. That's crazy cause mine's way higher than that. Ahh well.. I guess I'll just have to see when I go for my ultrasound this week.
Yes you can have higher progesterone after being on clomid, but it can also mean twins. I know someone that had it in the 40s and they were wondering about twins with her. She is having a singleton though.
Hi, I, too, am 5 weeks pregnant now and my progesterone level is really high. My level was at 124 when I was 4 weeks pregnant. I have been trying to search for answers to this and I can't seem to find any. My doctor said that it could be more than one baby, but only way to tell is to wait a little longer. I was on clomid my second cycle of it.
I'm on my 5th child, ninth pregnancy.. So ive had two preemies
one full and one a few days shy of being "full-term", all healthy and strong.needless to say im the perfect candidate for progestrone treatmen, unfortunatly the only "info" they gave me wasnt very informative or uptodate.. two studies from the year 2003. and atleast theyve told you your hormone levels which i'll be sure to ask for now, thanks..
im supposed to start intwo weeks with shots 1a week.by the way im 13 weeks now,i'll read on for more of your info and im gonna check the website one of you suggested. its so hard to keep your pregnancy your own the minute your high risk.
hELLO LADIES. I HAVE BEEN SPOTTING (BROWNISH MCSY) FOR THE LAST 9 DAYS STARTED ON MY OVULATION DAY. I AM NOW 7 DAYS POD AND MY OB DID RUN ALL KIND OF TESTS INCLUDING HCG WHICH CAME BACK ---. MAY BE TO EARLY TO TES, BUT MY PROGESTERON CAME BACK VERY HIGH 20.1, DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHY??!! COULD I BE PREGNANT ALTHOUGH HCG WAS LOW(>1)?PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. I'M TRYING TO GET PREGNANT.
im supposedly 4 weeks pregnant. my last period was april 10th and ive missed my period for may 10th adn had a neg test 10 days later. and now its june 6th and i had 2 pos test this morning and had a blood test for hcg levels this afternoon that came back to be 64. dont know how far along i am but they guessed 4 weeks. having an ultrasound in a couple weeks. does that sound like a viable pregnancy with those levels?
Hi everyone, I am 7 wk and 3 days. I just got back some #'s from the bloodwork I took 2 days ago. My HCG levell was at 189,000 and my progesterone was at 101. It appears that I am within normal range for HCG. But my progesterone level is more then double what it should be at 7 weeks. Has anyone else had numbers like that?
I am extremely nervous. My progesterone levels tested low on my last blood work although my HCG had more than doubled from two days before. I had an IVF frozen cycle with day 6 blast embryos on July 12. They upped my progesterone dosage and I go for more blood work tomorrow. I have read low progesterone can lead to miscarriage and I am terrified of losing this pregnancy. I don't think I could handle it.
