by paints, Feb 12, 2005 12:00AM
Hi,I am in the UK and am pregnant for the 4th time -I have had 3 miscarriages and am scared I will miscarry again. I have asked my doctor for progesterone but they won't prescribe it as it isn't recommended in the UK - Can anyone give me any hints as to what I could do - I'm 6 weeks.

I only had 1 miscarriage and now 3 healthy kids
What is the reason your miscarring?  placenta? uterus?
I know of a lady that had 7 misccariages and then a baby
it was her cervix needed to be sewn shut not that you want 7 but see there is a light at the end of the tunnel
Good Luck

You can order progesterone cream online. You rub it on your body instead of taking it orally or vaginally(suppositories). I've heard it works. Do some research online and see if it's for you. But it is a fact that low progesterone can cause you to lose an otherwise healthy fetus. Good luck to you. I can't believe they won't give it to you.

I had three m/c and with this 4th pg I am now 24 weeks along.  Yes, there can be some bad luck, but I am also now on baby aspirin, was on progestone and was on heparin injections as well.  I would ask whether your dr has run any tests to determine the cause?  With mine, they were not sure of the cause but did find that I had an auto-immune problem that had been undiagnosed and that could have been at least part of the problem.  Good luck.  Jennimom
