5 Positive at home test yet a negative blood test?

5 Positive at home test yet a negative blood test?

I am 20 years old and used to be on depo but got off it 4 months ago after all the bad stuff i heard about it.
I have been having some signs of pregnancy, throwing up, dizzy, blurry vision, cant eat with out being sick.
So I took 3 at home test and all were postitve but very faint lines. I ended up in the ER for dizzyness and they did a blood test and urine both were negative and said i must have just got false positives and had caught the flu. I then took two more test in the next week and still I am positive! This morning I was at the docs for cramps and they did more blood test and an ultra sound. yet no baby. im still having all the symptoms though badly. cant stop throwing up. they looked for cyst too yet nothing was wrong on my ovaries. I am so confused. can i be too early for any test?? or what happend? my doctor said i must have miss read them yet im pretty sure when me and my whole family can see two lines or plus signs im not reading them wrong.

PLEASE HELP im so confused and worried.
Thankyou.

Blood tests are rarely wrong and are usually way more sensitive than a home pregnancy test. There are a few options: your test was faulty, the time frame of reading the test was wrong (and therefore it was an invalid result) or you detected an early pregnancy that never took. You could ask to see your numbers from the test. Anything less than 5 is considered not pregnant. It is possible that your numbers were not high enough to determine pregnancy. If you are certain you are pregnant, repeat the tests again using a different brand and bring the results in to your doctor. Insist on another blood test. As the days go on, if you were pregnant, the blood test will pick up a higher reading and a pregnancy should not be missed. Sadly, early miscarriages are quite common...and you can get a faint positive line but then go onto miscarrying the pregnancy early on.
It`s your body, so if you are sure that the doctors are wrong, insist on more testing, otherwise, you may have to go with the blood test results and hope for better results next cycle. Best of luck!
